The practice phone app

Using RizCare on a phone at the hospital: setting it up, seeing the day, adding walk-ins, recording readings and drafting visit notes.

  1. Set up RizCare on your phoneSign in once on a phone so the practice's records are stored on it and open with or without a connection.
  2. Open RizCare with your passwordOpen the records on a phone you have already set up, by typing the password you use for RizCare.
  3. Lock RizCare before you put the phone downClose the records on the phone so nobody else can read them, without losing anything you have saved.
  4. Sign out of the practice appEnd your session with the practice on this phone, and what happens the next time you open the records.
  5. Add a second account to a shared phoneSet up your own account on a phone a colleague already uses, so each of you opens only your own records.
  6. Remove an account from a shared phoneTake one person's account off a phone, leaving the phone and everybody else's accounts on it as they are.
  7. Reset a phone nobody can openClear every account off a phone when nobody knows the password it was set up with, then set it up again.
  8. See who is waiting on TodayRead the day's patients on the phone, grouped by where each one is, and open the one you need.
  9. Add a walk-in from the phonePut a patient who arrived without an appointment on today's list, from anywhere in the practice.
  10. Record the arrival of a booked patientMark a patient who has an appointment today as arrived, which opens their visit for readings and a note.
  11. Register a patient on the phoneAdd a new patient to the practice from the phone, with the folder number and details from their paper folder.
  12. Find a patient and open their chartSearch the patients on the phone by name, folder number or phone, and read their chart without a connection.
  13. Record readings at a visitAdd blood pressure, temperature, pulse and weight to a patient's visit on the phone, with or without a connection.
  14. Mark a lab result as reviewedRead a returned lab report on the patient's visit and record, in your own words, what you took from it.
  15. Draft a visit note on the phoneWrite the assessment and plan for a visit on the phone as a draft in your name, ready to sign on a computer.
  16. Check the diary on the phoneSee each clinician's appointments for a day, with the free times between them, from the Today screen.
  17. Book an appointment from the phoneBook a patient into a free time in a clinician's diary from the phone, while the patient is still in front of you.
  18. Move or cancel an appointment from the phoneChange the time of a booked appointment, or cancel it with the reason, from the diary on the phone.
  19. See what is waiting to sendCheck on the Waiting screen what this phone has sent to the practice today and what it still holds.
  20. Keep working when the connection dropsWhat the phone still does with no connection, and how the work you save reaches the practice afterwards.
  21. Update the practice app when it asksWhat the phone shows when RizCare needs an update before you carry on, and how to tell whether your work has been sent.
