Remove an account from a shared phone
Take one person's account off a phone, leaving the phone and everybody else's accounts on it as they are.
- Where
- Practice phone app
- Who can do this
- Administrator, Doctor, Midwife, Nurse, Reception, Billing and Staff
Remove an account when a colleague stops using a phone, for example when a locum's time at the practice ends. Their records come off the phone. The phone stays set up, and so does everyone else on it.
Before you start
Anything that account saved on the phone and has not sent is lost when you remove it, and RizCare cannot check for it without their password. If you can, ask the colleague to open their account first and look at Waiting.
Steps
- On the password screen, tap Not you? Choose another account.
- On Who is using this phone?, find the account and tap the link under it that reads Remove, the account's name and from this phone.
- Read the screen that opens. It asks whether to remove the account, says unsent work will be lost and names who stays on the phone.
- Type the account's name exactly as shown, in the box that asks you to type it to confirm.
- Tap Remove this account.
What to expect
You return to Who is using this phone?, and the account is gone from the list. The other accounts open as before, each with its own password.
The colleague's work that already reached the practice is not affected. They can set their account up again on this phone, or another one, with their sign-in name and password.
