- Who can do this
- Administrator, Doctor, Midwife, Nurse, Reception and Staff
The care team says who is answerable for a patient right now: the midwife following a pregnancy, or the doctor covering while a colleague is on leave. It is a record of responsibility. It does not change what anybody can open.
Steps
- Open the patient's chart.
- Choose Who is holding this patient.
- Choose Name somebody.
- Under Capacity, choose Primary, Covering or Supervising.
- Under Colleague, choose who it is.

- Choose Name this colleague.
What to expect
The colleague is listed with their capacity, the time the period started and who named them.

A period starts when you name somebody; it cannot be dated back or ahead. Naming a new primary ends the previous primary's period, and both stay on the record. Including ended shows the periods that have ended.
Only colleagues who can be booked are offered.
