The pharmacy has its own queue on Stations. The pharmacy is recorded at the practice, so it needs a connection.

Steps

  1. Choose Stations, then Pharmacy.
  2. Under Prescriptions to hand over, find the patient. Today's visits are first.
  3. Read the allergies above the lines, then each line: the drug, dose, route, how often, how long and the quantity.
  4. If the line is not on the practice's drug list, choose Which drug on the list.
  5. Choose Hand over to hand over everything left. Choose Part handed over and type how many if you can give only some. Choose Not available if you cannot, and give a reason if you want to.
  6. To charge a line before handing it over, choose Price it.
  7. To hand over a different drug, choose Substitute another drug, pick it from the list and say why. If the drug or its strength is different from what was prescribed, tick that the prescriber agreed.

What to expect

Each line shows the price for one when the drug is on the practice's drug list, how much has already been handed over, and whether it is handed over, part handed over or not available. Where the practice asks for payment before the pharmacy, an unpaid line says Waiting for payment. A drug handed over is charged to the visit's bill, once, for the quantity handed over. A part handover is charged for the part. If a colleague hands over some of a line at the same moment, you are shown what is left and the line is not handed over twice. Where the practice asks for payment first, a held line asks why before you hand it over without payment, and the charge shows on the cashier's list as unpaid. In Settings, Visits, Only pharmacists can hand drugs over limits handing over to the pharmacist position. A line the practice cannot match to its drug list says Not on the drug list.
