A child's chart lists every dose of your hospital's immunisation schedule, with the day it falls due worked out from the date of birth. Doses that are due or overdue come first, so the next thing to do is the top of the list.

Before you start

The child needs a date of birth on the chart. Without one, the chart cannot work out when a dose is due. Correct the registration details first if it is missing.

Steps

  1. Open the child's chart and choose Immunisations.
  2. Find the dose in the list and choose Record this dose.
  3. Check Day given, and add the Batch number if you have it.
  4. Choose Record the dose.

To record a dose that is not on the schedule, choose Record another vaccine, then fill in Vaccine, Dose and Day given.

If a dose was recorded by mistake, choose Cancel this dose beside it and say why. It stays on the chart marked as cancelled, and the dose is expected again.

What to expect

Each dose shows Given, Due, Overdue or Not due yet. A dose is overdue when it is more than 28 days past its day, so a child seen a little late is shown as due.

Recording needs a connection. When you are offline the list says it opens when you are back online.

Change the schedule

The schedule starts as the national childhood schedule. An administrator can change it in Settings, under Immunisation schedule. Add or remove a dose, change when it falls due in weeks from birth, or change how many days late a dose can be before it is overdue. Choose Use the national schedule to go back. Doses already recorded are not changed.
