The Growth tab charts a child's readings against the WHO child growth standards, so a trend is easy to see across visits.
Steps
- Open the child's record. The Growth tab shows for patients under 5 years.
- Choose Growth.
- Read each chart: Weight for age, Length or height for age and Head size for age.
- Below a chart, read each reading's date, value and where it sits against the median.
What to expect
The charts need the date of birth and the sex recorded as female or male. If one is missing, the tab says which to correct in the registration details.
The charts use the weight, height and head circumference recorded in visits, so record them with Record readings. A reading taken after the fifth birthday is not drawn. The words beside a reading describe where it sits and do not make a diagnosis.
Growth charts need an internet connection.
